The Calgary and Cochrane Business Network provides a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meetings for the purposes of networking with others and to increase the skill levels and knowledge of our members. It is our goal to assist you in your success.

Membership with our organization gives you the advantage!
Come and join us and we will help your business grow. Each of our meetings is designed to incorporate natural networking with knowledge that you need. Share ideas and referrals with people that you get to know and trust. Our members are business owners, sales people, entrepreneurs and corporate executives from a variety of industries and locations in and around Calgary. Our comprehensive marketing keeps new people coming in and our network is expanding rapidly. Connect with us to connect to your target market!
All guests are welcome at our meetings. You can pay at the door for a single event or you can purchase an annual package of your choice that meets the unique needs of your business. As an annual member of our organization you can attend one local group or even visit other groups if they fit into your schedule. Unlike most networking clubs where you would pay a minimum of $350 for the year and then have to pay for your meal besides, your meal is covered with your annual membership. There is no need to carry cash to a meeting again!
The following packages are available to purchase online or at any Chapter Meeting. Yes. We can make payment arrangements. Yes. We are continually adding more value to this already valuable program.
Level One Membership – $350
This is our entry level membership and it is based on a monthly participation in one location for a 7:30 breakfast or lunch NETWORKING ONLY meeting. In some locations they are specific to a realm of interest and may even be held in an afternoon or evening but they are always based on networking. Even if they are held during a lunch hour they will be identified as a Level One meeting and they are not Lunch & Learns but an opportunity to get together with other business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate executives who want to get together with you. Typically networking is done in a natural environment where you the member gets to discuss your business both with the group and with individuals as the meeting progresses. If you are not able to attend the group of your choice due to a scheduling issue you may attend any one of the other networking only groups in the city, simply by showing your membership card. There are currently meetings in each quadrant of Calgary as well as a robust gathering in Cochrane.
Rather than trying to sell you some kinds of limited website advertising we are offering some special perks to our members that we feel would be more substantial for your investment. We have partnered with the Canadian Shoppers Club to offer FREE advertising to storefront businesses. The CSC encourages their own members to buy local and to buy specifically from merchants who advertise on their website. It is advantageous to participate and it identifies you as a local business in our area. Your annual package includes the information that gives you access to their winning platform as well as other opportunities that they offer.
As an annual member with the Calgary and Cochrane Business Network you also are able to post articles to our website CalgaryBiz.Net and identify yourself as a thought leader in your industry. Members are encouraged to post their events on our online calendar as well. The calendar and blogs are regularly featured on our LinkedIn Group page, our Facebook Group page and in our online newsletters giving our members more impact in their market!
Every Annual Membership Package also includes some free tickets and some discounted tickets to use to invite guests to our meetings. Additional perks are added as new businesses join us and offer incentives of their own to the system. If you have coupons, contest entries or free product items that you would like to give to our members we may be interested in adding them to our Annual Membership Packages.

Level Two Membership – $850
Level One is all about networking only but Level Two includes a Lunch & Learn. Yes, you can still show up and pay at the door but the prices are typically around the $40+ range and an annual membership becomes very attractive to have one of these covered each month. You are free to select the subject matter from the variety of platforms that are offered, as well as the location, and the date that works best with your schedule.
The value of our Lunch & Learns is that they are focussed on learning what our Members have said that they need. There will be no political campaigns. Education for our Members is the priority and not just a SALE for the speaker. Yes, there are “free” lunch and learns out there, but nothing is free. After a hundred mile an hour presentation the average “free” lunch convinces you that you need the steak knives to go with the vacuum cleaner and that you must buy it now for the rare one time only price of $1000.00! We feel that the information that is offered must have real value to our Members and we are not there to sell you anything further with a hyped up presentation. Networking is always encouraged so bring your business cards to all of our events.
The subjects that we offer within our network will vary but they are always designed to bring value to our clientele which includes sales people, business owners, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives. Subjects may be specific to an area of interest such as Cochrane exploring the idea of competing in a market that is soon to include a large monolithic that is coming to their town. In Calgary the subjects focus on sales, marketing, competing in a new environment, designing an exit strategy for your business, preparing for the upcoming tax season or any other number of relevant topics. As a Member we encourage your participation and your input. If you have an area of interest that you would like to know more about then we may build a program for you. If you are an expert and a Member of the CBN we may want to feature you in one of our Lunch & Learn events.
Our Speakers are often Mentors in our Mastermind Groups are carefully selected to be part of our organization based on their participation, their reputation, and their ability to convey relevant knowledge to our Members. You will enjoy the wide variety of professionals who typically would charge $200/hour or more that have joined our Network to have the opportunity to Mentor others.

We will take one third down and bill you the other two thirds once a month for the next 2 months. We want to make it affordable for everyone. If you want to upgrade later to another Level we can do that as well. Level Three Membership – $1200
Level Three includes a Level One Networking Meeting, a Level Two Lunch & Learn of your choice, and an evening event such as our Level Three Dinner & Workshop events. These evening events typically would cover 2 hours of more intense training on a variety of subjects such as using social media, goal setting, strategic business growth, building a business plan and more…
You may purchase tickets at the door but they range between $60 – $150 depending on the event. Usually these events include a meal but not always. See our calendar for an updated list of coming events. There will always be a few each month that you can choose to attend. Registration for our Annual Members is made just by making a phone call to the number listed on the calendar to reserve a seat.
At this level of participation your card is now transferable to one of your partners or employees in the case that you cannot attend an event yourself due to scheduling. This is an excellent quality feature than ensures that you get your money’s worth. There are also additional free tickets and discounted tickets in your Annual Membership Package so that you can bring guests with you to events.
We do offer an advertising section on our website and at Level Three you now qualify to have your logo and information posted with links back to your website. We also have a photographer working with us and at the Level Three Membership you now can have a professional head shot taken to compliment your website or social media activity online as part of your package.
Level One Networking, Level Two Lunch & Learns, and Level Three Workshops
Package includes:

Mastermind Membership – $2000
The Mastermind Membership Level gives you access to a whole new level of knowledge. When we get involved in our own businesses there is not a manual that gives us all of the help that we need to get started. Then there are all kinds of bumps along the road and storms to weather as we try to navigate the waters of changing economies and the tidal waves of employee crisis. In today’s world the idea of Mentoring has taken root but often times the costs of expert advice is more than the small to medium size business can handle.
We all know that we become like the people that we associate with and often times the things that hold a business back is a lack of knowledge or an attitude that we are unaware of. Our Mastermind Mentors are people who have gone before you and who have a trail of success that you can learn from. The Mastermind Membership Level allows business owners to rub shoulders with entrepreneurs and corporate executives while creating an environment that is beneficial to everyone.
How would you like to attend a meeting where you get to be in the hot seat and your peers and Mentors can offer you tips and advice on how to improve your operations? Monthly Mastermind Level Groups gather to strategize and brainstorm over the businesses in attendance. How would you like to have two hours of consultation with a leader in the field of marketing, strategy or business growth and know that you have already covered the cost of it in a one-time Annual Membership? These are just a couple of the benefits of the Mastermind Level of Membership.
There are segments of specialized training that run in 4 to 8 week segments that are available for our Mastermind Members. With Annual participation you are eligible to participate in three of these each year based on whatever area of knowledge that you desire to attain. If you want to participate in more than three segments in a year you may do so for a nominal fee.
Each of our Mentors also contributes two hours of training to go into our growing Mastermind Library for our Mastermind Members to have access to on an ongoing basis. Mastermind Training comes out monthly with downloads, videos and emails that only Mastermind Members have access to. Specialized information that is pertinent to leadership training, social media and SEO tips, strategies, event planning, accounting practices and more. These in depth trainings would cost thousands of dollars but are accessible to our Mastermind Members through our expanding Mastermind Library.
As an additional bonus Mastermind Members are given a one month membership with the Canadian Shoppers Club giving them access to several exclusive deals within their local area and $100 spending on a pre-paid international credit card and an opportunity to enjoy residual rebates within that system. - You are featured on our CBN website as a Mastermind Member giving you credibility in your field.
- We will write a blog about you and feature it in our newsletter at least once a year.
- You will receive 2 two hour sessions of one-on-one of assessment with a professional in your choice of marketing, sales, operations or Executive Management.

Mastermind Membership Company Plus – $5000
This Company Plus Level is very similar to the Mastermind Membership Level however it allows a company to send 3 representatives to our Mastermind Level Groups. It is also ideal if your company would like to have a sales rep attending networking and learning events in different areas of the city during any given month.

- Level One Networking for 3 people once a month is paid for
- Level Two Lunch &Learns for 3 people paid for
- Level Three Evening workshops paid for

- Professional head shot done for all of your social media accounts (Value added by Rick Gold)

- Featured on the website under the advertising section
- Card is transferable to another individual within your company if none of the three cannot attend the breakfast, lunch or dinner events, but only the designated three can attend the events that are exclusive to the Mastermind Group.
- Featured on website as an expert in your field.
- We will write a blog about you and feature it in our newsletter at least once a year
- Four hours of one-on-one of assessment with a professional in your choice of marketing, sales, operations or Executive Management.
In addition you will also receive:

Student Membership – $250
This membership is ideal for University or College students interested in meeting business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate executives in a networking environment. The Student Membership is a punch card with 10 opportunities to attend Level One Networking Meetings or Level Two Lunch & Learns. Evening events and the Christmas Mixer can be attended at 30% off and will be paid at the door of the event. The Student Member must register in advance for the Christmas Mixer or evening workshops by calling the contact number for the event and they must show their Student Membership Card at the door to qualify for the discount.
You must be enrolled in a University, College, Trade School, or another learning institution and be currently attending and submitting assignments in order to qualify for this Level of Membership. A Student Identification card or proof of current enrolment will be required.
